KAMCareers.com, a job portal for manufacturing jobs only, was developed by the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers (KAM) in conjunction with MyCareerNetwork.com specifically for KAM members to post all of their manufacturing and manufacturing related jobs.
Kentucky manufacturers, in particular, are baring the brunt of today’s increasingly competitive environment of outsourcing, off shoring, and insourcing As a result, Kentucky manufacturers are continuously searching for ways to remain and become even more competitive. One way that KAM is helping Kentucky manufacturers to remain competitive is through ProsperousKentucky(sm), a strategic initiative for keeping manufacturers and the industries that support them in Kentucky.
KAMCareers.com is an integral part of that initiative, providing a single website for manufacturers to widely publicize the numerous job opportunities that historically have been contained within a narrow network of manufacturing professionals. Going forward, KAMCareers.com will greatly enhance and help to facilitate the process of bringing the job seeker and the manufacturer together for a mutual benefit.
Ultimately, this site will become regarded by both, job seekers and employers, as the first and only place to search for top job openings and quality talent. Overtime, as positions are filled, careers are discovered, and manufacturers thrive; then this site will have come full circle by providing a means for Kentucky manufacturers and the industries that support them to find quality people right here in Kentucky that want to stay and work, thereby enabling the largest industry in our great state – manufacturing – to grow and thrive. Such forward thinking will contribute greatly to Kentucky becoming the destination of choice for manufactures around the country in the not so distance future.

How does an Employer Post jobs to the site?
As a benefit of being a KAM member, organizations have the opportunity to post their job openings to the site directly from their own website, through a special software package offered by MyCareerNetwork.com. For more information call (877) 696-3896 and ask for Don Odom, Vice President of Sales.
Once the jobs are posted to KAMCareers.com, they are automatically populated (posted) on the other regional job portals that MyCareerNetwork.com (MCN) operates, as well as, with other job posting sites that have partnered with MCN.
Jobs advertised on the site are linked directly back to the employers website, which allows job seekers to quickly and effortlessly learn about the job, the opportunity and the company itself.
From here, a job seeker can submit online by either uploading a resume or building one online. When a resume has been submitted, the employer automatically receives it and an electronic notice is sent to the job seeker stating that his/her resume has been received.
Why do Manufacturers need a specialty job posting site?
As mentioned, KAMCareers.com will feature only manufacturing related jobs, which will serve to assist manufacturers solve one of the biggest issues currently being experienced – finding enough qualified individuals to fill all the open positions. Secondly, considerable research suggests that fewer than 25% of all job opportunities are ever advertised within the open market. That means the remaining 75% - the hidden opportunities - are often overlooked by the job seeker who is unaware of their existence and the techniques for accessing them.
By developing a specialty job portal, that is state based, we are able to provide an affordable single repository for both opportunities and job seekers, ultimately, benefiting those workers wanting to be right here in Kentucky and the manufacturers that hire them.
